Waiting

Probably not my best piece ever, but definitely my personal favorite. I can still recall sitting outside after class and seeing this girl sitting there. I just had to draw her pose. I could see the drawing already. This is the only time I've ever had that happen.

I'm scared!

I can't draw!

Seriously, I can't draw. I thought I was in the mood to draw lately so I took some time to do it today. I was even fairly stoked to do it when I started. I had an idea and everything.

An hour and half later I was looking at the sketch I had scribbled together and dear god, I can't believe I drew it. I haven't drawn something this bad since I tried to draw drunk years ago. It's frustrating since I know I'm better than this. I have pages of gallery to prove it. But something just isn't the same from how drawing was before. Used to be an hour and a half would be more than enough time to get a halfway decent sketch well on it's way to a finished drawing. Now it's just crap on a page that I don't know what to do with.

Ugh! It's been like this the last few times I've tried to draw too. I haven't done anything worthwhile in a long time and it's bothering me. Am I done? Was that it? Should I move onto the next creative field now? I've always wanted to write, but I'm no poet as so many of you are probably painfully aware.

Any thoughts anyone?
